This car was purchased in 2002 from the Towe Auto Museum with 29,000 original miles. Prior to purchase, it had one meticulous owner from new.

The car purchase included:

Vintage Alpine stereo system, remotely wired Passport radar detector, 120 mph factory replacement speedometer, sheepskin seat covers, floor mats.

In the trunk were:

The original new spare tire and jack still in plastic wrapper, a spare factory gas cap, 85 mph speedometer in box, 5 one-quart cans of AGIP oil, 8 Marelli Magnetti spark plugs, car cover, factory manuals and literature, and a file containing past maintenance receipts.

After purchasing, the following maintenance items were replaced:

Timing belt and bearing; clutch disk, pressure plate and throw-out bearing; spark plugs, distributor cap, rotor, wires; steering rack boots; wheel bearings; battery; serviced air conditioning; miscellaneous – belts, hoses and filters.

In addition, the following improvements were also made:

Engine:

Installed 1.8 liter head to increase compression, Elgin 66-15 performance cams, PBS lightened flywheel, ceramic coated two-piece exhaust manifold, custom exhaust with Ansa single tip.

Suspension:

Installed Koni adjustable struts, custom coil-over springs, Sumitomo HTR4 tires and gold painted wheels.

Interior:

Installed Blaupunt CD with new speakers, black motorized antenna, Momo shift knob and Momo sport steering wheel.

Exterior:

New soft top in original leather grain pattern, Cibie halogen headlights.

This car drives better than new and better than many “new” cars. The driving dynamics are spectacular. The engine is eager and loves to be revved. Yet, it is not temperamental or difficult to drive in daily traffic. The steering, brakes, and handling are precise and confidence inspiring.

On August 15th of 2003, the car was awarded "Best Lancia" at the prestigious Concorso Italiano.
